We are Saber Robotics, the FIRST Robotics Competition Team #2506 representing Franklin High School, Franklin, Wisconsin.
Mission Statement:
“FIRST Team 2506: Saber Robotics’ mission is to create a positive atmosphere for students to explore, share, and develop their interests in the STEM and business fields through participation in the FIRST Robotics Competition. Our team fosters an environment where collaboration, cooperation, respect for others, and leadership are not only encouraged, but are a daily occurrence. Saber Robotics strives to provide students an exciting and invigorating venue where they can develop skills learned in the classroom and apply them to real problems”
The Saber Robotics team at Franklin High School is one of many teams nationwide that participate in the FIRST Robotics program. FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is an organization whose mission is to foster science and technological leadership among students. The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) accomplishes this by hosting events that challenge students to build and design a robot to complete a specific task, while competing against other teams.
Saber Robotics is participating in the FIRST Robotics Competition since the 2007-2008 competition year.
We are very glad to have made such an impressive showing each year. Of course, we could not have made any progress and accomplished so much without the help of our generous corporate benefactors.
As a team, we practice Gracious Professionalism – a way of doing things that encourages high-quality work, emphasizes the value of others, and respects individuals and the community – and Coopertition – competing always but assisting and enabling others.
We are looking forward to another exciting year of competition. Check out a synopsis of each season.
